Benny Hinn's False Teachings

The following are direct quotes from Benny Hinn showing he is leading people to a false Christ, a false god and thus a false Gospel (see Deut 13:1-5):

"I am a 'little messiah' walking on earth." (Benny Hinn, "Praise-a-Thon Program" on TBN, broadcast November 6, 1990.)

"Ladies and gentlemen, the serpent is a symbol of Satan. Jesus Christ knew the only way he would stop Satan was by becoming one in nature with him. You say, What did you say? What blasphemy is this? no, you hear this! He did not take my sin; he became my sin. Sin is the nature of hell. Sin is what made Satan . . . It was sin that made Satan. Jesus said, 'I'll be sin! I'll go to the lowest place! I'll go to the origin of it! I won't just take part in it, I'll be the totality of it!' When Jesus became sin, sir, He took it from A to Z and said, "No more!" Think about this: He became flesh, that flesh might become like him. He became death, so saying man can live. He bacame sin, so sinner can be righteous in Him. He became one with the nature of Satan, so all those who had the nature of Satan can partake of the nature of God." (Benny Hinn, Benny Hinn program on TBN, Dec. 15, 1990).

Hinn claims that when one is born again by faith in Jesus, he is given a new spirit man that is divine in nature and God-like.(Our Position in Christ - sermon tape).

"Although we are not Almighty God Himself, nevertheless we are now divine" (12/1/90 TBN).

"He [Jesus] who is righteous by choice said, 'the only way I can stop sin is by Me becoming it. I can't just stop it by letting it touch Me; I and it must become one.' Hear this! He who is the nature of God became the nature of Satan where He bacame sin!" (TBN, 12/1/90).

"Had the Holy Spirit not been with Jesus, He would have sinned" (Good Morning Holy Spirit, first edition, 1990, p 135).

Re the trinity, Hinn said, "Each one of them is a triune being by Himself ... there's nine of them." (Benny Hinn, TBN, 34d October 1990).

"God the Father is a person separate from the Holy Ghost. Totally separate.Ê (Orlando Christian Centre, Oct 13, 1990).

Re man being God: "You say, 'Benny, am I a little God?' You're a son of God, aren't you? ... What else are you? Quit your nonsense! ... If you say, 'I am,' You're saying you're part of Him, right? Is He God? Are you His offspring? Are you His children? You can't be human! You Can't. You can't! " (Our Position in Christ #2, 1990 Audiotape, sd 2).

What does scripture say about those who preach another Christ?

"If someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough. . . . For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerating as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. " (2 Cor. 11:4, 13, 14)

"The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron." (1 Tim. 4:1,2).

"If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing. . . . People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. " (1 Tim. 6:3, 9)

Benny Hinn has reportedly stated on his 'This is Your Day' program on March 29 that Jesus will be appearing in person physically on the platform with him in an upcoming crusade. Ruth Heflin reportedly told him she heard an audible word from God about Jesus, himself, appearing on stage with Hinn (Heflin is well known for the gold teeth and gold dust manifestations). Could this "visitor" actually be Maitreya who has promised to appear to various groups around the world and specifically on TV? Only time will tell.

Benny Hinn has gone so far off the deep end that this latest heresy he is promoting is not much of a surprise. According to a book by Kurt Koch, Occult ABC 1976, Benny Hinn received his "anointing" from Kathryn Kuhlman,the same person who was also a mentor for John Arnott of the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship (Toronto "Blessing").
