Endtime Prophets

A Critique of Norb Hackman's False Prophecies and Theology

I was asked to critique the writings of Norb Hackman. His prophecies and teachings fr use the same repetitive technique that other false prophets use to mesmerize readers into accepting what is being said. He not only mixes the destruction of Babylon the Great, i.e., America, along with Armageddon but also teaches Replacement Theology, i.e., uses scriptures referring to Israel and claiming they are meant for the Church.

Actually, that isn't totally correct, Hackman doesn't actually quote even one scripture in the article I have critiqued below, but the phrases he uses clearly indicate this is what he is doing. The following quotes came from an article on Hackman's website www.inhiskingdom.com written in 1999 (the website is no longer online but you can find some of this prophecy stored on archive.org).

(False teacher/prophet quotes are in purple and indented, my
comments are in plain text and scripture is in teal. False teachers rarely use scripture. I have only included those portions I intend to comment on.)

A sample of his [Holy Spirit's] teaching pertaining to the wrath that his Father will send on the people of the world: My people will know that I am the Messiah: I will have told them in the air.

Everything Norb Hackman says needs to be judged by scripture. You will not find even one scripture saying that Christ will speak to believers during the endtimes "in the air." Christian believers have the Holy Spirit. We are to meet Christ in the air when he comes for us at the Rapture, but until then we have the comforter (the Holy Spirit) that Christ sent to us, to guide us into truth:

"I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever--the Spirit of Truth." (John 14:16,17a)

The wrath will be poured out; the wrath, from my Father to the people of the world that do not obey, that do not learn of him, that do not ask forgiveness and turn to him.

Norb Hackman is obviously talking about the Great Tribulation as you will see later. However, according to scripture the wrath of God, during the Tribulation, will be poured out on those who do not believe on His son as their Lord and Savior, i.e., unbelieving Israel (Jeremiah 30:7, Daniel 12:1-4) and against gentile unbelievers (Isaiah 26:21; Revelation 6:15-17).

You will not find one scripture in either the N.T. or the O.T. that indicates the Chursh is destined for God's Wrath during the Tribulation. However, you will find plenty of Scriptures that say just the opposite (1 Thessalonians 5:9, Romans 5:9, Revelation 3:10). The believing Church has already been declared righteous in God's eyes because of the blood that was shed for us on the cross.

"Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. (John 3:18)"

And:

" Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." (John 5:24)

I find it very interesting that Norb Hackman does not mention, even once, that unbelievers need to acknowledge they are sinners and acknowledge Christ dying for their sins. He indeed indicates they need to repent from their wicked ways and obey God's Word, but believing comes before obeying.

The wrath will be poured out. The wrath will be poured out upon all people. Every living thing will receive his wrath.

This is not scriptural. Look at Rev 7 where it talks about the 144,000 witnesses being immune from God's Wrath during the Great Tribulation.

The wrath will be sent out in vials, in bowls. The wrath will be seen by the horsemen. From the horsemen the wrath will be delivered, the wrath will be given, will be burned upon the earth. The wrath will not be able to miss anyone. The wrath will be here. It will be soon. Come to me, my people. Come to me, return to me. Flee from the evil one.

Is Norb Hackman teaching accurate truth from scripture? There are only two camps in this world, either you are one of God's kids or you are his enemy. Then we have to ask who it is Hackman is wanting us to flee from. Could it be the Word of God? Does Hackman want us to trust his own word and not the Scriptures? If you will notice Hackman does not quote scripture even once in the statements he posted on his web page.

Flee to me the Messiah.

That is what Satan told Eve in the Garden of Eden (turn from God and follow me). The message hasn't changed in all these thousands of years.

Flee to the spirit that is speaking through my servant; flee to the Messiah. Do not wait 'til it's too late. Do not wait 'til the wrath is coming. Do not wait 'til after my people leave the earth. When they meet me in the air, it is too late; you are condemned. Do not wait, do not wait.

Does this "you" apply to everyone? As we saw above, according to John 3:18 believers are not condemned.

Since this is a prophesy, there is no date given, so if it does not happen in the time frame that you expect it should happen, please keep preparing--keep renewing your food and water supply and keep drawing closer to the Lord. He will see us through when we obey and honor him. I love you.

Since when does a prophecy not need a date? If you do a study on the prophecies in Scripture there was often a set date and there were enough details given so you could tell when it happened. If you will read what Hackman said above he said no one will excape God's Wrath but now he is saying if you prepare and obey He will see you through the Wrath. So, which is it?

Here is a sample of the teachings of the second book that is ready to be published [the following is supposed to be Jesus' voice]:

When I was a little boy, when I roamed the streets of Jerusalem, I had fun, I played, I reacted just like other little boys would. The only difference, my Father had put his love in me, where I knew that he loved me so much that I had to obey him.

Was Jesus forced to obey his earthy father or suffer a loss of love, or was the reason Jesus obeyed his earthly father because he was sinless?

"God made him who HAD NO SIN to be sin for us, so that IN HIM we might become the righteousness of God."(John 14:16,17a). Also see 1 Peter 2:22.

If I didn't obey him it would have broke my heart. I loved him with a perfect love. I loved him with a perfect love. I loved him with a perfect love.

I want to point out this repetition that Hackman is using, as it will get worse as you read along. It is a new technique being used in religious settings originating from occult sources. It is a well known means of mesmerizing, or preparing one for hypnotization to accept whatever is being said.

Read my article critiquing Gilliland's, Heaven on Earth Here and Now and Greg DesVoigne's article called Toronto Blessing--or Kundalini Curse? Holy Laughter and Company.

He put his love in me, he taught me his love early, when I was a little boy and from then on there was nothing that I could do where that I would disobey my Father because I loved him so much. It would have broke my heart if I would have disobeyed him. The key to perfect love is acting, is obeying, is understanding, is loving, then when you do these things, when you keep doing these things, perfect love will develop. Perfect love can develop early in life. Perfect love can develop early in life. Perfect love can develop early in life.

More repetition. The above does have a ring of truth to it but do believers have to be perfect before God will accept them? No. He loved us and called us while we were yet sinners:

"But God demonstrated his love for us in this: While we were yet sinners Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

And:

"I have not come to call the righteous [sinless perfection] but sinners." (Matthew 90:13b)

By the time I was at the age where I was responsible for my acts I had perfect love, so I could not sin before I had the perfect love. Before I had the perfect love I could not sin because I was under the age of acknowledgement, under the age of responsibility, under the age of being responsible for my actions. I am the Messiah, I have spoken, this is truth.

What does scripture say about children in reference to sin?:

"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, . . . " (Romans 3:23)

Therefore Christ did not sin merely because he was under the age of accountablility and loved his father, but because there was no sin in him to begin with, as we saw in the scriptures above.

From a teaching from the Holy Spirit starting May 9th 1999, Day 21-May 29th,1999

He has had enough. He has had enough. I am the Messiah, I have spoken, this is truth, this is truth indeed. So listen for my words. Be obedient to my words. Tell my people of me.

What about spreading the Gospel??? Isn't that Jesus' first perogrative. As we saw above first we need to believe and then we will obey. We don't need someone telling us about the Wrath to come on the earth during the Great Tribulation when it's plainly laid out in scripture.

Tell them what will happen to this earth. Tell them what will happen to your country, the country that will be attacked soon.

I assume he is implying that America is the Babylon the Great mentioned in scripture. As you will see later he also assumes that America is destroyed during Armageddon. I do believe it is very possible that America is the Babylon mentioned in scripture, however I do not believe that the two events coincide, nor do I believe the destroying agents of America will be any man or any country on this earth. They will in fact be agents of God, i.e., his Holy Angels. If you read all scriptures that mention Babylon being destroyed in Jeremiah 50, 51 and Isaiah 13, 14 and Revelation 18, you will find that the destroyers are Holy beings, i.e., angels. There is no man or nation on this earth that can qualify.

They have disobeyed me to the extreme. This will not go unpunished. This will not go unpunished. This will not go unpunished.

Your country will be left helpless but my people that obey me and love me will be safe. I am their shepherd and I will take care of them, when they honor me and obey me and love me and act on my word.

This is not scriptural either. Look at Jer 50,51 and Isaiah 13,14 and you will see that everywhere Babylon is mentioned ALL the people are destroyed. Nowhere in the book of Revelation do you see any believers being protected from God's wrath except the 144,000 and some of the Jewish believers (who are not the Church). In fact all believers during the Trib have been promised they may have to die for their beliefs instead (Revelation 6:9-11; 7:13,-14).

But the people that do not have love, that do not want to obey me, that want to play god on this earth will be destroyed. They will be destroyed. They will be destroyed. This is before the wrath.

All the evil people will be destroyed before God's Wrath??? Then who is the Wrath directed at? The believers who are "supposedly" not obeying?

This is before my people leave the earth. This will be soon. This will be very soon.

Now he is praching a Post Trib rapture. This is not scriptural either. I'll explain later.

I am the Messiah, I have spoken, this is truth, this is truth indeed. This is truth, this is truth indeed. Listen for my words. Obey my words. Act on my words with all your might, all your power, all your ability and the ability that I give you to see that my people will understand my word and obey my word and get a chance to be saved from the horrors that is coming on this country and the countries on earth when the wrath is given.

And what if what he is saying is not true. What if this message is from God's enemy Satan. What would be the purpose of this message? Could it be to get people away from the Word of God and relying on the word of a Man instead?

I am the Messiah, I have spoken, this is truth, this is truth indeed. I love you. I love you. I love you.

How the "Messiah" say we are doomed and then say he loves us in the next breath???

Soon it will be too late to gather food, to gather the items that you need to survive. Soon it will be too late to come to me, to understand my word, to believe my word, to act on my word. Soon it will be to late.

Is it ever too late to believe on Christ? How about the thief on the cross???

Soon it will be too late. Make haste, be diligent, be obedient. I love you. I love you. I love you. Yes, I love you but be aware. The evil one knows what will happen. He is preparing and he will do his best to destroy every person from the face of this earth.

Is it Satan's intent to destroy everyone on the earth? No. The evil one will only be trying to destroy God's people. His own people he will leave alone.

"Then the dragon was enraged at the woman [believing Israel] and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring, those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus [the Church]." (Revelation 12:17)

Please notice that not even those who obey God are immune to Satan's wrath through the agency of the anti-Christ, and in fact they are his prime target.

When this happens to your country, when this happens to your country, when this happens to your country all hell will break loose, all hell will break loose, all hell will break loose. The hell that is here on earth will be compared to the wrath that my Father has given at the rapture, when I take my people out of the world. It is compared to that. It is that deadly. It is that extreme. I am the Messiah, I have spoken, this is truth, this is truth indeed.

Ok, now we see that God's wrath is supposedly to come on the earth when the Rapture occurs. According to scripture God removes all unblievers from the earth at or shortly after his return (see Matthew 25 re the sheep and goats judgment).

If what Hackman said were true then there would be no believers left on the earth at Christ's return because all believers would have received immortal bodies and there would therefore be no believers, with mortal bodies to procreate and die and live as mortals till the end of the millennium.

When this happens, world governments will fail. There will be a war that has not been seen as yet. The third world war, that will be included, that will be included, that will be included in this war. The third world war will involve the world. The world war would include many countries. Many countries will be involved, some against you, some for you. Many countries will get involved.

Now he has not only joined the destruction of Babylon to Armageddon but also transferred what scripture says about Israel to Christians in America. This is known as Replacement Theology. Armageddon is World War III and it will be fought in Israel with all the world against Israel--NOT America.

And please notice we have still not seen even one reference to scripture or even alluding that this is in reference to scripture.

I haven't seen a prophet yet that is teaching a true Gospel. And most of them are teaching salvation of works and it appears that is what Hackman is doing also.

There is not even one mention that one needs to repent of their sins and believe in Christ in all of this so called "prophecy.", i.e., he is preaching repentance without the Gospel. If you watch closely you will see that this is a current theme in religious cirlces today, and especially in ecumenical movements, i.e., let's forgive each other and love one another. All mention of man being a sinner in need of Christ's redeming blood shed on our behalf is thrown out the window.

The people of the world that have entertainment for their idea of peace, they will be destroyed. They will be destroyed. They will be destroyed. Many, many, many, many, many people will be destroyed from all parts of the world, from all parts of the world. I am the Messiah, I have spoken, this is truth, this is truth indeed. Listen for my words. Listen for my words. Listen for my words. The words of my mouth are truth. The words of my mouth are truth. The words of my mouth are truth. I am the Messiah, I have spoken, this is truth, this is truth, this is truth indeed. I am the Messiah, I have spoken, this is truth, this is truth, this is truth, this is truth, this is truth indeed. I am the Messiah, this is truth, this is truth.

Look at the magnitute of repetition now. I have not included most of Hackman's statements in this critique, but you can still see how much it has progressed. It is amazing that anyone can read this far without giving up or being hypnotized.

I have no more comments on Norb Hackman's so-called prophecies. I have seen enough to convince me that he is not speaking for God and I hope you can see this also.
